Programs & Activities

For over 100 years, the Ross County Historical Society has preserved the exciting heritage of Chillicothe, Ross County, and Ohio. Few historical societies have such a comprehensive and respected collection of historic and prehistoric artifacts and records. In addition to operating three museums and a library, the Ross County Historical Society sponsors various events through the year and makes available many educational programs for children and adults:

Statehood Day Open House
Annual Meeting in April
Speakers Series
Workshops & Seminars
Special exhibit openings
Group tours of the museum for students & adults
Junior Member program for children, including seasonal activities and the newsletter History-Mystery News
Suitcase Museums for area schools
Special volunteer opportunities
