Holiday Children’s Program

Join us at the Knoles Log House to learn how our ancestors kept warm when it got cold outside. From warm clothes for winter travel to warm bedding at night, we will explore the Museum’s collections for example of keeping warm in the past. Then through physical activities of work and play we will warm ourselves and work up an appetite for something warm to eat and drink heated on the coals of the Log House fireplace. Finally, we will make items to remind us of our time at the log house keeping warm the old fashioned way.
